Viola Taylor-Miller
Passed 06/04/2021
Viola Taylor Miller was born on June 3, 1941, in Luxora, AR to Howard and Eliza Taylor. She was the baby of family. She was a graduate of Carver High School in Luxora, AR. She met the love of her life, Mr. Billy Edward Miller, her senior year in high school. They were married on December 26, 1961. They shared 59 amazing years of marriage and countless memories together. They had two handsome boys that were her heart, her first and her baby. Viola was the first in her family to go to college. She attended the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff and studied elementary education. She received her bachelor’s degree and she never stopped learning. Teaching elementary school was her profession, she also wrote poems for special occasions, as well as authored 3 books. It seemed as if she knew everything. From technology to history, Viola was one of the smartest, yet humble people you could ever meet. Viola confessed her faith to Jesus Christ at New Salem Baptist church. She later joined Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served the Lord by leading in BTU, usher, missionary board leader, and Sunday school teacher. Her teachings touched the lives of many children. Viola knew the word of God and the word was in her and she lived the life to prove it. She studied constantly and taught others about Jesus. There was never any doubt of whom she put her trust. She would help anyone who needed it. She had the most giving spirit. Her loving heart was undeniable. Her beautiful smile was contagious. The Lord determined that earth was not good enough for his angel, Viola, on June 4, 2021. Preceding her in death, were her parents, 9 brothers and 3 sisters. Viola leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Edward Billy Miller, 2 sons, Billy Miller (Gwendolyn) and Adrian Miller (Vinita), 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Harris (Elbert), 4 Sisters in law, 1 Brother-in-law, her nephew and sweet niece, Andre and Diane Diggs, and host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and students.
