Obituary For Priscilla Bell

Ms. Priscilla Hoey Bell, 61, of Shelby, NC passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC. She was born on June 16, 1959 in Cherokee County, SC to the late Willie Hoey and the late Essie Jefferies Hoey.

Priscilla joined Philadelphia Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC at an early age. She relocated to Shelby, NC around 2001 and was last employed with Creekside Restaurant. Priscilla loved listening to music and playing cards. Although she didn’t have children of her own, she helped to rear many of her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dean Bell and brothers, Ulysses Hoey and Johnny Ray Hoey.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings which include, Edna Hoey Craig of Shelby, NC, Roy James Hoey of Dayton, OH, Frances Hoey Walkins (Joe) of Shelby, Robert Hoey of Anderson, SC and Denese Hoey Lawrence of Shelby; a special friend, Tony Abraham and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Ms. Bell will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. She can be viewed from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the chapel and other times at the home of her sister, 821 Jefferson St. Shelby.
