He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Daisy Lee Gillespie of Marshville, NC; two children, Taisha Asheka Lee of Marshville, NC and John Chavis Lee (Tyisha White) of Monroe, NC; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Avance Gillespie of Indian Trail, NC; three sisters, Jeanette Redfern (Dennis Huntley) of Marshville, NC, Doris Cloud (Jeffrey) of Marshville, NC and Victoria Barrett (Chris) of Marshville, NC; two cousins like a sister and brother, John W. Harrell and Minnie Lee Harrell both of Marshville, NC; four sisters-in-law, Bernice Lee of Marshville, NC, Lillie Huntley of Wadesboro, NC, Terry Cratsley of Marshville, NC and Dorothy Cook of Marshville, NC; three brothers-in-law, Robert Junior Lee (Sarah) of Monroe, NC, Carroll Thomas of Marshville, NC, and George Medlin of Wingate, NC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who loved him dearly.
