Marion Smith was born March 31, 1939 in Chesterfield, South Carolina to Judge and Eula Smith, both who preceded him in death.

Marion Smith accepted Christ at an early age.

Marion Smith was employed with General Motors Company for 17 years as a production operator.

Marion Smith was joined in holy matrimony with Tracey Smith for 33 years.

Marion Smith departed this life June 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Edward Smith, Judge Smith Jr., Clayton Smith, Jhonsie Smith Cowan and John Smith.

Marion Smith’s favorite hobbies were fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, cooking every day, yard work and listening to blues songs.

Marion Smith leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Tracey Smith, children, Antonio Walden, Kenneth Richardson, Vera (Cecil) Copeland, Marion (Clarissa) Smith Jr., Kimberly Smith Bryant, Quentin Smith, Kenyetta Smith, Ladonna Addy, Nya Montgomery, Martee Parks, Marian Smith, Mario McNeal, Shameka Smith, Shanell Smith, Katrice Jackson, Kenneth Newson, Shawntel Williams, Christopher Williams, Shamya Smith, and Keion Smith; siblings: Doretha Hardison, Effie Bradley, Louise Brown (David), Helen Johnson, Elma Faye Marsh (Laverne), Bertha Talton (James), his 36 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The Graveside Services were held on Friday, June 18, 2021, 10:00am, at Galilee AME Zion Church, Morven, North Carolina.
