My prayers are with the Amos family. I grew up with Vanessa and her family when we were little kids on Fargo Street. I have many memories being welcomed in the Amos home by Mr Monk and Mrs Maude, her pineapple cake was the best. I can't even form words to Express how I'm feeling. I worked at Vanessa's doctor office for 18yrs We shared Laughter she opened up her home to me and connected me with her daughter for my hair needs. She was sad when I left the office and she didn't hesitate to let the clinic know how upset she was. She called me and gave me the best talk we have ever had and told me to soar and spread my wings and encouraged me to shoot for the stars. My heart is broken and my birthday will never be the same 06/15 my born day and the day she will be laid to rest. The last thing we'll ever share. RIP my friend until we meet again. LOVE YOU FOREVER! I had heard of Vanessa but the first time I actually put a face to a name was a few years ago as we interacted during service and times of get together after the passing of her brother Greg. She was warm and kind. That's what I will always remember. My prayers and thoughts go out to the rest of the family. Sincerely and I AM,

I met Vanessa in 1985, when she walked in the party I called her Dominique Deveraux / The fashion icon on Dynasty and referred to her threw out the years as such. Lots of laugh Another limb off that tight knit family. Hang in there as Mrs. Maude would have it. Sandra Battle
