A TIME TO BE BORN: Dorothy Anderson was born to the late Jasper and Alma Green on March 16, 1934.

A TIME TO PLANT: She received her education at the local schools in Hastings, Florida, and she later began to plant her seeds in the community of Hastings. Dorothy was joined in holy matrimony to Walter Anderson, Sr. and unto this union four children were born.

A TIME TO LOVE: She was a pillar in the community that she served and loved children and family. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

A TIME TO BUILD UP: Dorothy was employed as a care provider throughout her lifetime.

A TIME TO PLUCK UP: While walking through her garden made with her own hands, God saw that her flowers had grown weary. He called Dorothy Anderson home on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021.

A TIME TO KEEP : She was preceded in death by her Husband: Walter Anderson, Sr.; Parents: Jasper and Alma Green; Sisters: Julia Tomlin, Ira Bell Ford, Elizabeth Jack, Betty. J. Thomas and Mildred Stewart; Brothers: Isaiah Green, Silas Green and Joseph Green.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughters: Bernice Wilson and Deborah (Byron) Hartley; Sons: James Anderson and Walter (Barbara) Anderson, Jr.; Sisters: Roszena Chestnut, Geneva Grant and Beatrice Jackson; Godchildren: Renae Davenport and Lamons Lewis; Close friends: Betty Moore, Julia Boynton and Lillie Sippo; Honorable Mention: Lasandra Preston and Shanice Harley (granddaughters); Acts of Kindness: Wilbert Lewis,Patrick Stewart, Janie Clark, Cynthia Lewis, De’erra Lewis and Shelia Chappell; a host of grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews, caring friends and neighbors.

The Anderson family will receive friends and the community 6:00PM - 7:00PM , Friday, June 18, 2021, at The Lord's Temple City of Refuge 140 Gilmore St. Hastings, FL 32145 - Bishop Thomas Cave, III, Pastor. The Celebration of Life services will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, June 19, 2021 at The Lord's Temple City of Refuge - Bishop Thomas Cave, III, Pastor. Pastor Christopher T. Coleman, eulogist. Internment - Oak Hill Cemetery
