I remember Karey and Pat well and have suddenly learned news of his passing. I am not shocked at his passing, as aging simply does that, but our memories and the influences we have left do indeed survive. My memory of Karey is of his vibrancy, belief, and deep caring. In my earlier days he was a wonderful friend... he and Pat even traveled to Athens, Greece with my wife and I in younger days. Precious memories that live on, my prayers for his family, and my hope that we shall meet in God's future, again.

Rev. Dr. Kaery E. L. Gee aks to me as Poppa Gee is the father of one my best friends, Alesia Gee. I remember the time I came over because Poppa Gee was frying Fish for dinner. It was sooooo deliscous and tasty. He was easy to talk to, he made everyone feel welcomed therefore, no one was ever a stranger to him. Rev. Gee, truly lived his life as a TRUE Man of God. Poppa, Gee transferred Holy Ghost power and disbursed blessings to his family and friends. I can truly say that on the day of his transition, Poppa Gee released power and blessing that clearly manifested in my family's life that day. A battle that we had dealt with for many years on that day, became our victory. And then it happened, Poppa Gee transition. I know for sure that he disbursed, released, proclaimed and declared on that day, blessings and transfer of power to his family and those connected to them. I'm one of those receipents. So as you celebrate your sudden victories, be sure to say "Thank you, Rev. Dr. Gee for releasing power and causing me to be blessed. Family, I love you and we will continue the Legacy of Poppa Gee together!!! Love, Beverly D. Allen

The family of the late Rev. Dr. William (Handy) and Mrs. Ethel Sauls Yelverton offer our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the family of Rev. Dr. Karey Gee. Our grandparents were the founders of St. James Church of Christ in Fremont NC and were extremely fond of Rev & Mrs. Gee. They thoroughly enjoyed hosting the Gee's for "Sunday Dinner" in their home in Faro NC. Rev. & Mrs. Gee were lovely people, always so very gracious and very much at home with our grandparents. Rev. Yelverton held Dr. Gee in the highest regard and appreciated his tireless work to upbuild the body of Christ. We thank God for Rev. Gee's legacy, but most of all for his servant's heart. Peace & blessings, Ms. Ethel M Yelverton Pastor Jimmy Lewis & Mrs. Brenda Yelverton Lewis

My Comrade in the ministry Rev. Dr. Karey E. L. Gee, Sr. , was a lifelong member of Saint James Christian Church (DoC), Wilson, NC. Karey was a mentor to me at the beginning of my ministry. He stressed education training for the role of a Pastor. He practiced what he preached. Pastor Emeritus, Rev. Dr. Charles E. Barnes Às retired Pastor of 44 years Karey was a good role model for me. My family embraced your family in our thoughts and prayers.

My dad, Rev. Alex Mooty, served on the regional staff of the Christian Church in North Carolina with Rev. Dr. Gee. It always seemed to me that they enjoyed each other's company, and I am grateful for their mutual service to the church. May he go from strength to strength.

I knew Karey and his Regional Disciple work in North Carolina primarily through my Mother and Father Nora and Phil Kennel from Bethany in Arapahoe who loved him very much. I later knew him and his family in the Capital Area after he left North Carolina. He was a quiet and effective trailblaz er for human rights. Lord bless his soul Bob Kennel , Covenant Christian, Cary, NC

Please accept our deepest condolences for the passing of Rev. Dr. Gee. We remember Dr. and Mrs. Gee when they served the Christian Church DoC in North Carolina. Our pastor at the time, Rev. Dr. William H. Yelverton along with his wife Mrs. Ethel Yelverton, introduced Rev. and Mrs. Gee to the congregation at St. Luke Church of Christ in Tarboro, N.C.. Rev. and Mrs. Gee visited St. Luke when they could. Mrs. Gee sang at our wedding. Rev. Dr. Gee was well liked by many and worked hard for the betterment of the church. He will be remembered. I am truly sorry to learn of the passing of my "brother" Karey. We enjoyed meeting each other and introducing each other to family and friends at General Assemblies. As a colleague in ministry and former member of the regional staff in the Upper Midwest I truly honor the gifts of ministry he gave to the Church and to those whose lives he touched. It was good to see Franklin at the Assembly in Des Moines and catch up but I missed having Karey there. My prayers and sympathy go out to all the Gee family! Rev Dr Fred Gee, Des Moines, IA.
