Calvin E. Brown,93, of New Bern a native of Lake Charles, LA died Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Pruitt HealthCare Neuse.

He served in the United States Marine Corps and was Honorably Discharged. Calvin was employed for 33 years at Bethlehem Steel, Baltimore, Maryland.

He became a pilot after the age of 40 and flew an airplane by himself.

Calvin was known for his neat dressing and African attire.

His last known living relative his sister, Ella Thomas with whom he was devoted to died in 1998.

His New Bern family included Janice Spivey and Family.
