Guest Book

One of your close friends was my Uncle Clyde Timlick who lived on Hwy 311 in Walnut Cove. You would drive your brick truck to my daddy's refreshment stand and sit way past dark . We remember your laugh, your walk and how you would help put rags on the fire in the barrel to make smoke to keep mosquitos away. It was soda pop time with a snicker bar . An RC cola would hit the spot. That was your favorite ! Daddy sold all of that for 25 cents. I remember it so well. When daddy retired, I came to Walnut Cove and moved both mama and daddy to Durham to be near me. That refreshment stand was a favorite gathering spot for more than 20 years. I really hated to see it go. But my parents well being took precedence over all else. There's nothing like family! From Mary and Vivian Timlic- Durham NC.
