Agnes Elaine Nelson Williams, the youngest daughter of the late Archie Nelson, Sr. and Mary Graham Nelson was born June 4, 1954 in Manning, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by one brother, Archie Nelson, Jr. and a great grandson, Lionel Daney, Jr.

She received her formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County and was a 1972 graduate of Manning High School. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in her early youth through Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Alcolu, South Carolina. She was a faithful member who loved her Pastor and church family. She served on the Usher’s Ministry as the Secretary, the Caring and Sharing Ministry, Samuels Funeral Home Usher Ministry and other areas as she was needed. "Pinky” as she was affectionately known, was called Home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 11, 2021 at McLeod Health in Florence, South Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter, Sandra Nelson of Sumter, SC; a devoted son, Jimmy (Lisha) Nelson of Manning, SC; eleven grandchildren, Keidra Nelson of Sumter, SC whom she reared as her own, Antonio Daney, Sr., Breonna Daney, Jada Daney, Chavious Rankins, Kiyanna Neil, Payton Nelson, Darias Williams, Janaiya Ragin, Jnyia Nelson and Jaliya Nelson; four great grandchildren, goddaughter, Carol Abraham; godson, Cory King; one sister, Barbara Ann Darley of Elkridge, MD; one brother, Sammie Lee Nelson of Greenville, SC; a special sister, Eloise Nelson of Manning, SC; two special nieces, Barbara Lynn Darley and Sonia Darley both of Elkridge, MD; two special nephews, Ned Darley, III of Alcolu, SC and Samuel Nelson of Alaska; a special great nephew, Gaison Bekett; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mrs. Williams will be held 2:00PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1260 Green Hill Church Road, Alcolu, SC. Rev. Delbert H. Singleton, Jr., Pastor, officiating.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her son, Jimmy Nelson, 9 Sumter Street, Manning, SC.
