Obituary For Gladys Hardesty Dawson

Gladys Hardesty Dawson, 69, of New Bern died Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her residence.

Viewing hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday at Oscar's Mortuary.

Her service is 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 22, 2021 on Oscar's Mortuary Grounds. The interment will follow at the Dawson Cemetery Vanceboro.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony Bernard Gardner, Leondro Donshae Gardner and Myron Trevar Gardner all of New Bern; stepson, Anthony Pollard, Greenville; three brothers, Donnie Hardesty, Easton, PA, Kevin Hardesty, New Bern and Kenneth Hardesty of Havelock; sisters, Alene Hardesty, Goldsboro, Linda Matthews, Eleanor Pearl Hardesty of New Bern, Deborah Hardesty, Fort Worth, Texas, JoAnn Sanders, New Bern; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild.

Masks are required. Chairs are limited, please bring a chair.

Dear God, I didn't make it to my aunt Gladys Dawson's furneral but Lord you know my heart was very saddened and that I loved my aunt like The Mother she was to me, which is better because she did alot to help my mother to care for me and the rest of my brothers and sisters.Im sure you will rest now In the name of Jesus Christ and may your spirit always remain present around us all that will miss you. Whenever I will go into Sears she would always remember me even sometime I might forget her name but I will never forget her face.
