Obituary For Gwendolyn Yvonne Hunley

Graveside service for Ms. Gwendolyn Yvonne Hunley of Talladega, 76, will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Pine Hill Memorial Park. There will not be a public visitation for Ms. Hunley.

Ms. Gwendolyn Yvonne Williams Hunley began this life on Saturday, November 25, 1944, in Talladega, Alabama to the union of Willie Williams and Christine Fields Williams.

Ms. Hunley became a member of Jacobs Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She was a graduate of Ophelia S. Hill High School in Munford, Alabama. Gwen continued her education at Wenonah Technical College in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a former employee of Wal-Mart and Woolworth. During her spare time, Gwen enjoyed cooking.

On the morning of Sunday, June 13, 2021, Gwendolyn departed this life at her residence. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Willie and Christine Williams.

Loving memories will remain in the hearts of her son, Tracey Hunley of Warner Robbins, Georgia; three grandchildren, Brandon Strown, Ameriah Hunley and Akiya Hunley; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Williams and Joycelyn Curry of Talladega, Alabama; two friends, Byron Jackson and Cherlyn Hunley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
