Place: St. James A.M.E. 124 E. Walnut Street Danville, Kentucky

Visitation: Beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service

Burial: Hilldale Cemetery Duncan Hill Rd Danville, Kentucky

James “Jimmy” Fleming Houston took his final rest on June 12, 2021 at Nicholasville Center for Health and Rehabilitation, Nicholasville, KY. Jimmy was born in Danville, KY on August 27, 1938 to the late William Thomas Houston and Ada Burdette.

Jimmy was preceded in death by brothers, Garfield Houston, Joe Robert Houston, John Houston, and William Houston; a sister, Emma Houston Thornton Jarmon; a daughter, Vickie Houston; and a grandson, Rhyan Doneghy.

Jimmy was formerly self-employed in landscaping, construction and mowing. His pride was in the love he shared with so many who called him brother, Daddy, Papaw, and Uncle Jimmy.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Keith (Anna) Houston of Nicholasville, KY, James W. Houston of Danville, KY, Jeff (Jennifer Norman) Houston of Stanford, KY; one daughter, Lanal Faulkner of Danville, KY; two sisters, Bessie Mae Houston of Danville, KY and Estella Miller of Columbia, SC; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. An enormous host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends will also treasure the memories they shared with Jimmy.
