Obituary For Florine Haynes Hickman

Ms. Florine Haynes Hickman was born to Charley and Carrie Haynes on July 17, 1927. She grew up in Madison, Florida and later resided in Fort Pierce, FL. While in Fort Pierce, she worked with the Bergrens for many years as a domestic worker.

Florine was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church under the leadership of Dr. David Washington for many years.

Florine lived a full life. On June 5, 2021, she was called to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley Haynes and Carrie Haynes; son, Carlwin Hickman; brothers, James Bell, Charley Haynes, Randell Haynes, Lee Haynes; sisters, Bernice Shelton, Lula Haynes, and Claretha Adams.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children, Frank Hickman of Miami, FL, Flora Brown, Terry Hickman, Derrick Hickman all of Fort Pierce, FL, Jerome Groover of Riviera Beach, FL; 14 grandchildren, Therez Barber, Kenya Charliers, Frank Hickman III, Trista Hickman, Shericka Jackson, Theron Hickman, LaTangreia Hickman, Missy Jenkins, Terry Hickman, Jr., Danielle Lucas Hickman, Jodi Harrell, Keri Groover, Jamaal Hickman, and Malik Hickman; 37 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Kathy Groover and Tangy Hickman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public viewing for Florine Haynes Hickman will take place on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral Services will convene on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
