Obituary For Nigel Dreuitt

A celebration of life for Nigel Traevon Dreuitt 27, of Anniston, Alabama will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Refuge || Church Of Our Lord And Jesus Christ with Minister Nathaniel Smith, Eulogist. Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 1:00-5:00 PM at the chapel of Goodson Funeral Home. Nigel confessed Christ at an early age and joined Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Billy Ray Morgan. He was an active participant in the youth ministry and always eager to help others. Nigel was energetic, gregarious, and adored by all those who knew him. He was witty and gifted at using humor to brighten someone's day. During his primary education, teachers often commented on his innate intelligence, and he was always an honor roll student. He was a youth All-Star baseball player and a skilled basketball player, often leading his team to state championships. He attended Anniston High School and later went on to pursue a general studies education at Gadsden State Community College. He was an adept math student with an interest in architectural design. Nigel leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Marion Dreuitt and Derrick Cunningham; siblings, Chelsea Dreuitt of Atlanta, GA, Shavon Caver, Justin Hall, both of Anniston, AL, and Zaida Cunningham of Savannah, GA; aunts and uncles, Sherry (David) Underwood, Fred (Kim) Dreuitt, both of Atlanta, GA, Mary A. Dreuitt of Anniston, AL, Bonita Fields of Flint, MI, Michael Fields of Warner Robins, GA, Terrance Fields of Anniston, AL, and John Shedrick (Kish) Fields of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews, Jamotis Hall, Sania Angle, Jordyn Caver, and Jenayzia Oliver, all of Anniston, AL; cousins, Denecia Dreuitt, Marissa Merkerson, Yvonne Dreuitt, all of Anniston, Al, Reese Underwood and Reagan Underwood, both of Atlanta, GA; special aunts, Sanquetta Duncan and Valeria Morgan; special sister and brother, Inesia Riggins and Alex T.; special grandparents, Billy Ray and Mildred Morgan; as well as a host of other devoted family and friends. He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Smith and Marry L. Dreuitt; paternal grandmother, Marry Fields; and aunt and uncle, Stephanie Dreuitt and Derrick Dreuitt.
