Obituary For Mrs. Elizabeth "Lib" Biles Williams

On June 18, 2021, God called home a loving mother and grandmother, Elizabeth (Lib) Williams. She is now resting forever in the arms of her savior.

Elizabeth (Lib) Williams was born June 14, 1929 to the late Lonnie Biles Sr. and Verna Mae Biles in Oakboro, NC.

Mom gave her life to Christ and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wadesboro, NC where she served faithfully on the Usher Board until her health started to decline.

Mom attended school in Oakboro, NC and was employed as a great cook to many before retiring.

She was united in holy matrimony to Frank Williams, Jr. who preceded her in death. To this union, five children were born: Diane Pratt of Wadesboro, NC, Gary Williams (Patricia) of Wadesboro, NC, Marjorie Tyson (Reggie) of Charlotte, NC, Leasa Bennett and James Williams, who preceded her in death. Seven grandchildren: Rena Pratt, Johnny Pratt (Pam), Lushana Pratt, Vernon Bennett, Jr. (Brittonie), Kimberly Bennett, Tiona Williams and Brittaney Williams. Eight great grandchildren: Evan, Kobe, Javion, Cedrick Jr., Caderick, Garrett, Jazer, and James.

Also left to cherish her memories are: her brother, Jimmy Biles of Camden, NJ and sister, Betty Biles0Tann of Camden, NJ. Five siblings preceded her in death, Clara Jones, Eleanor Biles, Lonnie Biles Jr., James Biles and Bobby Biles. Her best friends, Lillie Sowell that was like a sister and Sandy Biles that was like a brother. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who she dearly loved.

The Services to Honor Mother Williams' Life and Legacy were held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, 3:30pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment followed in the Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

To the Williams Family, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. I met Mrs. Lib through her daughter, Lisa and immediately saw the love she displayed for her entire family. Through the friendship with Lisa, I even had an opportunity to enjoy conversations with Mrs. Lib. So sorry that I can't be there with you today! So sorry for your loss. We will truly miss Ms Lib from coming to church (Barringer Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Norwood NC) with Mother Sowell and the late Ma Mil better known as our Golden Girls.
