Obituary For Lethan Bryant

Mother Lethan Bryant (Leedee) was born October 14, 1923 in Troup County, GA to the late Mr. Henry & Mary Bonner. She was the second of six children all who preceded her in death. She moved to Coweta County at an early age.

In 1946 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Johnny L. Bryant who also preceded her in death. To this union five children were born and one stepson, Mr. Henry Zachery, who departed this life on January 26, 2008.

Mother Bryant was an old school saint who sought the Lord through tarring at the alter and calling on the name Jesus. Her testimony was she received the gift of the Holy Ghost during the Church's Annual General Assembly in 1954 while ushering at the door, with the evidence of speaking in tongues with the spirit that God gave utterance.

Mother Bryant was a member of the Antioch Apostolic Holiness Church (now Edgewood Holiness Church) under the leadership of Elder O.A. Armstrong and Elder Alec Hilson where she was a pillar of the Church.

In 1981 Antioch was correctly named Edgewood Holiness Church, under the leadership of Elder Walter Jackson, Jr. and she remained faithful until she became ill.

during her life Mother Bryant has helped and took in so many people, friends, family, and strangers. Stating that " if I don't God might get me." Being led by the Word, " be careful how you entertain strangers" She was a pillar for her family.

Mother Bryant sweetly breathe out this life September 25, 2008.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Ms. Linda Bryant, & Mrs. Gracie Kelley. Three sons Mr. Johnny Bryant, Jr., Mr. James Bryant and Mr. Titus Bryant, One son-in-law Pastor Lonnie Kelley, Jr., One daughter-in-law, Mrs. Earline Barner, Twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, A very dear friend and caregiver, Ms. Hattie Kimber, and a host of other relatives and friends.
