Obituary For Marisa Felicia Lucas

Ms. Marisa Felicia Lucas was the eldest child born to the union of Maurice Edward Lucas, Jr. and Carolyn Maxine Moore Lucas on St. Patrick’s Day March 17, 1961.

Marisa better known as “Risa” was a native of Pittsburgh PA and was a graduate of Wilkinsburgh High School Class of 1978. After High School she enlisted in the United States Army and served her country from 1980 – 1984. Later in life Marisa relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, it was there that “Risa” found what true love was with Victor Coles. They were together for 15 years.

Risa had a heartfelt singing voice and was an inspiring author. She spread her love to all that knew her and was loved in return.

Marisa departed this life on Sunday, April 15, 2012. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her mother, Carolyn Moore Lucas; father, Maurice Edwards Lucas, Jr.; brother, Richard Lucas; uncles, Donald (Regina) Moore, Richard Moore and David (Cherri Moore); aunts, Charlotte Moore, Mary Ellen Still and Debra Gordon; nephew and niece, Richard Lucas, II and Tara Bryant; great niece and nephew, Alayashia and Andre; cousins that were more like brothers and sisters, Shania Bones, Juliana “Tiny” Smith, Lee Smith, Michelle Moore, Paulette Blanks, Tracy Smith, Lucille Smith, Jack “Jay Jay” Smith and Karen Brady; a host of other cousins relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 22 Sampsonia Way, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15212 with the Reverend Andrew Cooper, Pastor Officiating.
