Obituary For Daniel Murphy

Daiel Murphy, born August 18, 1954 in Atlanta, GA, departed this life Friday, January 18, 2008 at his residence. He was born to the union of Mr. Leroy and Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy. He attended school in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Joseph E. Brown High SChool in 1972. He was also a graduate of Walton's School of Culinary Arts, Atlanta GA. He was employed at Dekalb Medical Center until his health failed.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Lena L. Stacy, August 9, 1979. To this union two daughters were born, Angela Selena and Danielle LaShay.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. George & Mrs. Julia Smith and Mrs. Leola Murphy; brothers Sam & James Hindsman and Keith Murphy.

He leaves to celebrate his homegoing his loving and devoted wife, Lena (Neema); loving daughters Angela (Folayan) and Danielle (Saddi), grandsons Joseph and Joshua Edmond; mother- Elizabeth Murphy; father Leroy Murphy (Shirley), three brothers Minister Dale Hindsman (Courtney), Ricky Murphy and Gregory Murphy; two sisters Deborah Murphy Williams and Flozell Murphy Avery (Jonathan); brother-in-law James Stacy. Nathaniel Stacy (Bessie), Willie P. Stacy, and Chris Stacy (Cassandra), sister-in-law Louise Stacy, Gail Hindsman, Louise Hindsman, Selena Murphy, Betty Davis (Billy) and Carolyn Screen. Seven aunts including Mozell Murphy, Ruby Kate Murphy, and Naomi Columbus, two uncles and a grand uncle and aunt, James and Mildred Hill. Twenty-two nieces, 13 nephews, a devoted friend Dwight Hendricks, a God sister, Clemmie Thomas and host of cousins, friends and church family.
