Obituary For Mrs. Evelyn Harper

Mrs. Evelyn Harper passed. Mrs. Evelyn Bernice Harper, daughter of the late Hester Evelina Victoria Brown and Edward John Baylor, was born on June 22, 1943 in Harlem, New York.

God called Bernice home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was 72 years young.

Bernice was baptized at Convent Avenue Baptist Church in New York, NY. She lived in the New York area until December of 1977 when she moved to Atlanta. She worked with AT&T for many years and then moved into the legal profession working for Alston & Bird and finally with Troutman, Sanders.

Bernice leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Larry Harper, one daughter, Angela Buggie of Atlanta, two sons, Eddie Buggie of Chicago, Chad Buggie of Atlanta; one sister Shirley Fisher of Sacramento, California, two grandchildren Deaquan Macklin and Divine Buggie, two nieces Victoria Grajek and Vanessa Fisher, other relatives and many friends.

Bernice was a vibrant soul and touched everyone’s lives that she came in to contact. She lived a great life and those of us who knew her are for the better. We know that she is at peace and our love for her will never wain.
