Mr. Willie James (Peanut) Sturgis was born January 19, 1937 in Dawson, Georgia to the late Raymond and Era Bell Sturgis. He departed this life on September 26, 2011. He loved to fish and watch sports. He was a resident at the Westbury Care Home for seven years. He leaves to cherish his memory a caring wife: Rostella Johnson Sturgis; two daughters, Marion Sturgis and Ronnette (Bernard) Stodghill; stepchildren, Lonnie (Traci) Johnson, Linda Gresham, Darrin (Deborah) Jackson, Cedric (Teresa) Shepherd, Avery (Jennifer) Marshall, and Phillip (Terri) Alexander; two sisters, Juanita Plummer and Mary Lumpkin; 5 grandchildren, Tyquavas Weaver, Aaion Sturgis, Shantavius Sturgis, Talaurica Stodghill and Tanarda Stodghill;; 32 step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, James Carter and Peter Bigby; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
