One of Jamaica’s finest women, Eulalee Francella Allen, was the first girl born to the late Alfred Saunders and Laura Frazer on April 22, 1929. Orange River District, Clarendon, Jamaica West Indies, she was the 3rd child of her mother and the 1st of six for our father. She attended the Red Hills elementary school and after completion started to work as a seamstress (Dressmaking) in Clarendon. As business was slow, she migrated to Kingston seeking a better life and gained employment with the New Bells Dry Cleaning as a Supervisor for several years. As a little girl, she was always found among her brothers and being daubed as a “Tom Boy” – a very loving child adored by everyone. While working in Kingston, she met and married Reynold Allen – she loved her church and her constant going bore fruit when she not only see the Lord but she also saw Reynold Allen. The words of the song, “falling in love with Jesus” I believe was the song to have been sung as they were in church, but Reynold and Eulalee both seemed to have replaced the name “Jesus” in the song. Jesus seemed not have mind about it and so on July 7, 1957 they were joined together as a man and wife. This was not before Rey went to Alfred (dad) who charged him that she was his only daughter (at the time) and that he needed to take care of her. In preparation of the big day however, dad took the initiative to give Rey a proper shave as he thought he had too much hair on his face. When he completed shaving him he said, “Now you look like a decent man to marry my daughter.” As like goes on, Eulalee sought for a better life for her and her husband and hence during the mid-sixties, she migrated from Jamaica to the United States (New York) and was later joined by her husband. Without wasting time, she gained employment with the Self Help Community Service, a job she held until the time of her retirement, taking care of the elderly, something she loved and enjoyed doing. Her late mother and father were never exempted and she would ensure that something was sent to them back home. Georgia has become home for Eulalee and her husband Rey for the past twenty (20) years as they moved from the hustle and bustle of New York to a much warmer and quiet place. Eulalee loved her Church and loved her God and could never be comfortable until she found a place of worship. Her search led her to “The Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross,” here she joined herself to the family and would participate in as much activities as she was able to, including being a member of the Young at Heart Club. During her lifetime, she showed consideration for numerous persons, she was a woman of all seasons, one who was for everybody and it was never too much for her to do anything for anything for anyone. She was indeed good to everyone around her, including her family; she had never forgotten to send a card during Christmas to those who means so much to her. Our family, which we consider to be very large, was not large enough for Eulalee not to know the whereabouts of everyone. She knew the history as if she was from the beginning. AZs the baby brother, she tried to map the family tree, identifying each branch and indicated whether or not a branch had borne any fruit. I remember vividly when our father died; she was the one going around introducing family members operating as the bridge between the “old” and the “young”. To date I am still remembering some of those persons. Eulalee was a very dignified women and a person who was well respected by all. She could be very witty at times. I am more than happy that I was privileged to spend a few weeks with her recently, but disappointed that I was unable to stay longer. Those 2 weeks for me will never be forgotten as on sick bed, she was still trying to tell me more about our family tree. After a conversation with her, the closing words would be “God bless and keep you.” Eulalee died n the morning of June 11, 2012 at Manor Care Rehabilitation Center in Decatur after a brief stay at DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale. Eulalee, those of us whose lives you have touched will certainly miss you, those who heard of you will be sorry that they did not get a chance to meet you, but we look forward to meeting you again when the mist has rolled away, when the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and the dead in Christ shall rise, we who are alive will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air, one of these glorious mornings. May your soul rest in peace, and the light perpetual shine on you.

Our condolence to the family of Eulalee in particular her husband and Rhoan. Death is really cruel but there is a flip side to that for me as the Word says to be absent from the body is to be present with God. Don't grieve over what should have or could have been done or said, but Take comfort in the fact that she is not in pain anymore, take comfort in the fact that she is with her Saviour, Take comfort also in knowing that you gave that which she needed when she was here...your love. Cry if you must, its ok...tears are a language He understands, and its a part of your healing. Our prayers are with you.

My condolences to your family. May you gain comfort and strength by knowing that God cares and has already made provisions to restore loved one. The Bible book assures us that: The hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus voice and come out.. This sure promise will take place here on earth under God's Kingdom that we are praying for at Matthew 6:9. As you draw closer to God in prayer he will draw close to you. James 4:8 May you put your faith in this sure hope. I hope and pray that this will encourage and comfort your family.
