Obituary For Ms. Florence Knight

Ms. Frances knight On Saturday, August 15, 2015 Florence Mildred Knight, after a forty-year battle with scleroderma, traded her earthy body for her heavenly body in Glory. On December 12, 1954, in the city of Wilson, North Carolina, a beautiful baby girl was born to Mildred Raynor and the late John Amos Lee Knight. That "Baby Girl" was Florence. She was given the name by her grandmother and her middle name in hour of her mother. Florence was the third of four children born to the couple, and she was their only daughter. Flo, as she was affectionately called by many, was educated in the Carteret Country Public School System in Morehead City, North learned multiplication tables from her fifth grade teacher Ms. Dudley; she learned to make hats from Ms. Hill; and was taught ballet by Ms. McQueen. In January 1970, Florence’s life was changed forever. At the young age of fifteen, she became a mother. The Birth of her son gave Florence an unyielding determination to overcome the odds and graduate high school with her class; and she did just that. A few years after graduating high school, Florence moved to Washington, District of Columbia. Ten years later in 1985, she graduated from Stayer College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Florence put her education to use as an accountant at the pension Benefits Guarantee Curation until she relocated to Atlanta Georgia, in the early 1990s. Upon her move to Atlanta, Florence found a spiritual home at Greenforest Community Baptist Church. As a result, her relationship with the lord grew and makes an indelible mark on her life and the lives of her family. Florence was very dedicated and faithful member of the prayer Ministry and her Upper Room Sunday School Group.
