Obituary For Nettie M. Mitchell

Mrs. Nettie Mitchell, one of four daughters, was born September 27, 1912 in White Plains, Georgia to Mrs. Emma Mapp and Mr. Thomas Mapp. At an early, she confessed her life to Christ. She received her education in the Atlanta public schools.

She worked for forty-seven years and retired from Rich's Department Stores. She married Edward Butler in 1932 and to this union, one son, Edward, was born.

She was a former member of St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Henderson. In 1989, she joined her son and family at Greenforest Community Baptist Church. She loved her church and her pastor, Reverend George O. McCalep, Jr. She loved cooking for her church family and friends. She lived a long and happy life.

She is beloved by many and leaves to cherish her memory, son, Edward (Lucille); six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, three nieces, three nephews, two cousins, numerous other relatives and friends.
