Obituary For Alton Leroy Jackson

Mr. Alton L. Jackson was born October 16, 1941 in Dekalb County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Jackson.

At an early age he joined the Popular Springs Baptist Church and continued to worship there. He was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Delores McGuire Jackson on July 17, 1970. This Union was blessed with one daughter, Kim Jackson.

He was a loving, devoted husband and friend. He also was a wonderful caring grandfather to Shawn, Trey and Douglas known as (Gurt). Not only was he a good neighbor in the community, he was known for his kindness, and friendliness to all whom he met.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory a loving wife Mrs. Delores Jackson; a daughter Kim Jackson; granchildren, Shawn Jackson, Trey Jackson, and Douglas Jackson; sisters Mrs. Hazel L. Banks and Mrs. Ida M. Allen; brother Mr. Tommy Lee Jackson; sister-in-law, Ms. Veronica Colbert, Mrs. Antionette Smith; brother-in-law, Mr. Tommy L. McGuire, Mr. Charlie J. Smith, and Mr. James Collins; aunt, Mrs. Joanne West; daughter's friend, Cornelius Kennedy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
