A memorial service for John A. Walker of Oxford, GA, will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Belvedere Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3567 Covington Hwy, Decatur. Dr. Denton Rhome, Pastor, will officiate. Funeral rites will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 26,2007 at Oakwood College Seventh-day Adventist Church,5500 Adventist Dr., Huntsville, AL. (256-837-1570). Interment, Oakwood Memorial Gardens.(Royal Funeral Home, 4315 Oakwood Ave., Huntsville, AL 256-534-8481). A graduate of Oakwood College John Walker, 43, was an enviromental specialist and was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. John was Deputy Director Plant Operations and Compliance of the Dept. of Watershed Management for Dekalb County Government. Those who cherish his memory include his devoted father, Mr. James "Jack" Walker; brother, Jeffrey Walker; sisters, The Hon. Joy Walker and Jewel Walker (David) Ralph; other relatives, friends and colleagues.
