Obituary For Mr. Robert Coverson

Mr. Robert Coverson passed.

Celebration of life for Mr. Robert Coverson will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 11:00 am at Central UMC, 501 Mitchell St., Rev. Yvette Massey, Senior Pastor., officiating. Interment, Hillandale Memorial Garden. Remains in state at 9:30 a.m.

Visitation Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 12-9p.m. at Grissom-Clark Funeral Home, 227 East Lake Dr. (at Memorial Dr.) 404-373-3191 www.grissom-clarkfh.com.

~ Reflections of Life~

Mr. Robert L. Coverson was the third child out of five born to the late Ethel and Zadie Coverson on June 3, 1931 in Franklin, Georgia. He is predeceased by one brother. Robert was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2013.

He lived in Atlanta Georgia for a number of years before moving to Bridgeport, Connecticut. While in Connecticut he was employed with Reliable Steel Drums. In addition, Robert was a member of Holy Ghost Deliverance Cathedral Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

He lived in Connecticut for many years until he decided to return to Georgia in August of 2013, the place he always called home.

Robert loved gardening, fishing, working on cars and playing cards. He was a father, husband and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish a loving wife of 64 years, Willie Cleamer Dixson-Coverson who he married three times all in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. Together they raised twelve children, five sons, Mr. Robert C. Coverson (Lucero), of Tennessee, Mr. Jimmy C. Coverson, Raheim Coverson, Joseph Coverson and Matthew Jones all residing in Connecticut, Mr. Sidney Coverson (Mieko) of Japan; seven daughters, Mrs. Joan Quarrie (Lenworth) of North Carolina, Mrs. Danita Coverson-Jagne (Ousman), Anita Coverson, Mrs. Vickie Coverson-Peterson (Dawud), Mrs. Bethy Coverson-Ward (Keith), Bianca Coverson and Crystal Jones all residing in Connecticut; two brothers: James (Creamer) Coverson, of East Point, GA and Rev. J. E. (Fannie) Coverson of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Lottie (Thomas) Smith of Ellenwood, GA; nineteen grandchildren, T-Shaka (Demonica) Coverson, Tomorra (Corey) Young, Philip Coverson, Francisco (Vivian) Medina), Cynthia (Brian) Eason, Samantha Medina, Mark (Jana) Medina, Sabrina Coverson, Kason (George) Perrin, Tysha (Leo) Martinez, Lakeya Coverson, Ebony Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Trevor Johnson, Sienna Peterson, Tymon Peterson, Samuel Coverson, Seraphina Coverson and Sade Coverson; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of other sisters and brothers in-law, nieces, nephews, one extremely close friend, Ms. Bernice Williams, other relatives and friends.

I am sorry for yor lose death is not a natural thing that's way we are so upset when we lose a loved one to death. The bible talks about a time when death will be no more in Revelation 21:4.
