The Homegoing Celebration for James Grant Dillahunt will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, at Salem Bible Church, 2283 Baker Rd., N.W., Atlanta. The Reverend Jasper Williams, Jr., senior pastor; Dr. Joseph Williams, pastor; Rev. Johnnie B. Johnson, eulogist. The body will lie instate one hour before the service. A native of Oriental, North Carolina, James Grant Dillahunt retired from the Nassau County (New York) School System and from Lucent Technologies. He also sold real estate.
Those who cherish his memory include his daughters Felicia D. Cochrane and Tenique D. Sanders (Terrell); son, James G. Dillahunt, II; mother, Lillie Mae Shelton (George); seven grandchildren; siblings, Elwood Jones (Daisy Blake), Minnie Rouse (William), Beverly Boomer (Keith) and Carol Hood (Edward); special and devoted friend, Joyce Wallace; dear friend Walter Taylor; former wife, Florence Dillahunt; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
