Obituary For Angela Michelle Twitty Richardson

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path."

Angela Michelle Twitty Richardson, 43, transitioned into her glorious home on Friday, October 10, 2008. A native of Shelby, North Carolina, she was born on March 14, 1965 to Joseph and Virginia Twitty. She was raised in Rowland North Carolina and graduated from South Robeson High School in 1982. Angie, as she was fondly called, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose."

After graduating from college, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Angela's first (real) job was with Western Union, which in 1990 became AT&T. During her 20 year career with At&T, she worked as a Specialized Account Representative with Easylink Services; and as a Legislative Assistant with the Government Affairs Department. Angela also worked as an International Customer Resolution Manager with the International Data Services Corporation.

Philippians 4:6-7: " Be careful for nothing: but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Everyone who knew Angie loved her. It isn't just that she was kind and purposeful, she was also fun to be with. Angie lived with passion and quiet appreciation of life's big and small gifts. She loved UNC basketball and NFL games. Her smile warmed you and conveyed her gentleness even before she said a word. She cared for others deeply, even during her own trials. Angie reveled in the joy of good friends and the blessing of family. She was guided by a strong faith in God.
