I am just learning of the passing of Dr Carr. Dr Carr was the first person to introduce me to Accounting I and Accounting II. He was brilliant and dedicated to his profession and he made learning the discipline so easy. He was also a strict disciplinarian so much so that if you were one minute late for his class you would find yourself locked out the door. His endless jokes in class were also a trademark of his teaching. He was a wonderful person and will truly be missed. My sincere condolences to his entire family. (CAU Class of 2000) Reginald Hodge

There are a lot of instructors out there but few teachers and Professor Carr (Dr. Carr as I called him) was a true teacher. He loved accounting and he inspired that love in his students through his jokes and unorthodox way of teaching. I chuckle when I think of all the fun times in his class, if he hadn't loved accounting so much he would have been a great comedian. He really cared for his students and not just inside the classroom, he even took time out to attend my wedding and I was truly touched by that. Dr. Carr has touched the lives and hearts of so many and will be thoroughly missed. What a blessing to have known such a great person. My heartfelt prayers and condolences to his family and all who loved him. (CAU, Class of 2001)
