Obituary For Mr. Louis Oliver Jackson

Mr. Louis Oliver Jackson was born April 28, 1935 to the late Mr. Arthur Jackson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Lonnie Rucker Jackson in Benevolence, Georgia. He departed this life at his home in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, February 2, 2012.

At an early age, Louis joined the New Salem C.M.E. Church in Benevolence, Georgia. Upon moving to Atlanta, he joined the West Mitchell Street C.M.E. Church where he served diligently for many years including serving as a Trustee until his death.

Louis attended Benevolence Elementary and graduated from Randolph County Training School. After High School he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He completed his post secondary education at Morehouse College and Georgia State University. Louis worked for over 30 years for the Veterans Administration as a Certified Public Accountant in Atlanta, Georgia and Ann Arbor Michigan before retiring in 1990. After his retirement he spent many years working at Phillips Arena and the Atlanta Braves Stadium.

Louis leaves to cherish his precious memories, a daughter, Cynthia Denise Lowe of Ellenwood, Georgia; two brothers, Arthur (Frances) Jackson, Jr. and Myles Rucker (Gloria) Jackson both of Atlanta, Georgia; three nephews, Elfrem Delon Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher Myles Jackson of Warner Robins, Georgia and Ricardo Sabastien Jackson of Conyers, Georgia; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
