Obituary For Frank Calloway

Mr. Frank Calloway was born September 26, 1916 to the late Mr. Alexander Calloway and Mrs. Mae Julia Geddes Calloway in Washington, Georgia. He was the fifth of nine children. Eight of his siblings have preceded him in death. He received his education at New Hope School in Wilkes County, Washington, Georgia.

Mr. Calloway was a bright student. He held a Certificate of Appointment of Notary Public. He graduated from Griffin College of Barbering and worked as a barber for a number of years. He also worked at Decatur Federal Bank and retired after 48 years of service.

Mr. Calloway joined Thankful Baptist Church after moving to Decatur, Georgia. He sang in the Senior Choir and the Male Chorus.

Mr. Frank Calloway leaves to cherish his memory a devoted sister-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn Brown, sister-in-law Mrs. Gladys J. Hunt, a devoted neice Mrs. Sandra L. Baker, and many other neices, nephews and others.
