Obituary For Mrs. Bettye Jane Clark Adams

Bettye Jane Clark Adams was born on May 1, 1955 in Cuthbert, Georgia in Randolph County to the late Essie Bell Grooms Clark and James Lyles, Sr. Jane accepted Christ into her life at the tender age of twelve in the New Salem C.M. E. Church in Benevolence, Georgia. She was educated in the public school system in Randolph County and graduated from Henderson High School in 1973. Soon after she graduated from high school, Jane moved to New Jersey where she received a higher education. Years later, she continues her education at the Lincoln Technical Institute and graduated with honors in Medical Coding and Billing.

Jane led a rich Christian-based life. She joined the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church family with her daughter Janel in 1998. Jane was a faithful member and contributor to the church where she served on the Hospitality ministry, the Dorcas Missionary Ministry, Pastor's Anniversary Committee and the Church Anniversary Committee. Jane was dedicated to her Lord and Savior Jesus and to her family. She participated in church functions and always supported her family members. She gave 110% of herself and consistently told the truth. She was a woman of insight, foresight and wisdom. She shared these three God-given gifts with her loved ones.

She was united in holy matrimony to Grady Adams in Savannah, Georgia and together they spent thirty-three lovely years together.

On Sunday, December 6, 2015, Bettye Jane Clark Adams passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior to join her previously deceased loved ones in heaven at John F. Kennedy Medical Center of Edison, New Jersey at the age of sixty.

Jane leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her two children: son, Alterick Clark of Chico, CA; daughter, Lee'Tayna Hostick and husband, John Lee Hostick, Jr. of Savannah, GA; six sisters: Bessie Clark of Paterson, NJ, Sarah Starling (Otis), Thelma Lyles, Lillie "Sis" Lyles all of Roselle, NJ, Annie Beckworth (Robert) of Wintergarden, FL, Mary Brown (Joseph) of Paterson, NJ; four brothers: Willie Lyles (Daisy) of Roselle, NJ, Isaac Clark (Valeria) of Atlanta, GA, Homer Clark (Karen) of Linden, NJ, Fady Clark of Cuthbert, GA; three grandchildren : Takia Bynm-Hultz Clark, Keyliana Clark, and Sophia Ruggle­ Clark of Chico, CA; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, loyal friends and her Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church family.
