Obituary For Mrs. Evelyn Brown

The life of Evelyn Foster Brown began on December 14, 1941 in Jonesboro Georgia, Evelyn departed this Earth on October 8, 2017 in Atlanta Georgia. Evelyn was the fifth of nine children born to Mr. Elijah Foster and Mrs. Emma Jones Foster. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Evelyn demonstrated and gave a devotion to God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ since a young age while in South Bend Indiana, she became a member of Believers Church of God in Christ. Evelyn studied at Jonesboro School in Jonesboro Georgia. Evelyn met and married Mr. Alfonso Stroud in 1955 and gave birth there shortly after to her two sons Edward Gene Stroud and Hilliard Jerome Stroud, she also had a daughter Evelina Phillips. In 1976 Evelyn move to South Bend Indiana where she met her late husband Mr. Albert Brown. Evelyn worked as a custodian for Notre Dame College and later on retired as cook in skilled nursing facility in South Bend Indiana. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother; Tommy Joe Foster sister; Maddie Ruth Foster and her husband Mr. Albert Brown. She leaves to cherish her two sons, Edward Gene Stroud Sr., Hilliard Jerome Stroud; her daughter, Evelina Phillips; her brothers, Huey (Barbra) Foster, Clifford Foster; her sisters, Christine Foster, Annie Merle (Gerry) Hudson; Geraldine Foster, Corine Foster and Thelma Barge; ten grandchildren, Shasta, Forte, Tamesa, Keisha, Edward, Joshua, Crystal, Kayla and Keundra; ten great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and Friends
