Obituary For Lloyd T. Swain, Jr.

A Celebration of life Service will be Friday, July 31 2015 11:00 a.m. Central United Methodist Church 501 Mitchell St. SW Atlanta, GA 30314 Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery Canton Ga. Viewing will be at the Funeral Home July 30,2015 from 12 noon until 9:00P.M.

Mr. Lloyd T. Swain,II 44, was born June 6,1971 to Mr. Lloyd T. Swain,Sir. and Mrs. Bonita Hardy Swain in Atlanta, GA. He Confessed Christ at a young age and attended Central United Methodist Church. He grew up in Atlanta and attended Clifton Elementary and Druid Hills High Schools. He is an Alumnus of Clark Atlanta University. Before graduating from Clark AU, Lloyd T. Swain, II answered the call to serve his country when he entered the United Stared Army in 1990, serving in the 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stuart Georgia. During his diligent service to his country, Lloyd Jr. performed combat assignment in Germany, Bosia and Iraq. He loved being a soldier. and loved protecting his men. He retired from active duty in 2000. He also loved being a Bounty Hunter (his claim to fame.

Affectionately called Lloyd, Jr. or Little Lloyd, he was a well-rounded person. He was both an accomplished athlete, Participating in football, swimming and track and field. and a lover of the arts and music. He also loved his motorcycles and cooking. He especially loved barbecuing for his family reunions and preparing meals for his parents. In additions , Lloyd Jr. was highly respected by all he came in contact with, including these Social Organizations and associations where he was a member.

Lloyd T. Swain II was called home by God on Sunday, July 27,2015 He is survived by his loving parents, Mr. Lloyd T. Swain, Sr. and mother Bonita Swain; grandmother, Ms. Bessie Hardy; brother, Chris Swain(Shawana); sister, Lorri (Cecil Clarke) children Demetrius, Travis, Jada, Angelicah, and Alexandra; Fiancé Stephanie Rivers; uncles, Mr. Harold Reid (LaRita), Mr. Kenneth Hardy; Aunts Sharon Hardy, Janis Reid, Carrie Swain, Hattie Williams (Rector); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

To the Famly of Lloyd Swain, Jr. My heart goes out to all of the family members. I will remember "Lil Lloyd" for the many times as he was called. I remember, as the Director of both the " Inspirational Cherub Choir" and the Youth Chorus of Central UMC in Atlanta, Ga. His sense of humor, priceless, will be greatly missed, but certainly not forgotten. Prayer,and time heals all wounds, I pray that all of the members will be able to accept his homegoing, to know that he is now in a better place where there is no more pain, nor discomfort. I am very sorry for your loss. However, Almighty God is not the cause of death, neither does he take our loved ones away from us to be with him. (Psalm 83:18) Death is our enemy and it will be brought to nothing soon. (1 Cor. 15:26) 1 Timothy 2:3, 4 says it is God's will that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. God promises that he longs to remedy our despair through a resurrection of our loved ones. (Acts 24:15) And Isaiah 25:8 says, "He will swallow up death forever.” In Gods new Kingdom, we will never have to mourn the loss of our loved ones again. (Rev. 21:4) I hope this brings you peace.
