Obituary For Mr. Ernest Earl Keller

Mr. Ernest E. Keller, a native of Mobile, Alabama and forty year resident of Atlanta, Georgia, born October 31, 1946, was called to eternal rest on March 11, 2011. He was a 1964 graduate of Central High School in Mobile. Keller earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Tennessee State University in 1969. He was employed numerous years with Equitable Insurance Company, Eastern Airlines and the City of Atlanta. He retired from the City of Atlanta, Risk Management Division in 2008 after 15 years as the City’s Safety Officer. Keller was a lifetime member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruffin E. & Leora V. Keller. He leaves to cherish his memories one child: Daughter Nichelle D. Talley of Cincinnati, OH, two grandchildren: Darius A. Dawson and Nicholas Talley both of Cincinnati, OH. Two sisters: Evelyn Battle and Marcia (Mitchell) Lang both of Mobile, AL. One brother: Pastor Steven (Vanessa) Keller of Hampton, VA. Five uncles: Harold Lang of Mobile, AL, Leonard Lang of Columbus, OH, Henry (Ella) Keller Jr., of Smithfield VA, Alexander Keller of Binghamton, NY and Harold R. Sims Sr., of Mobile, AL . Four Aunts: Myrtice Gibson of Inkster, MI, Priscilla Keller of Binghamton, NY and Mildred Keller Robertson of Windsor, VA and Mattie Lang of Mobile, AL; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memories his loving companion Judith Monterio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation and the American Kidney Fund. The Keller Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to all for your many acts of kindness expressed in celebration of the life of our father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

The Family wishes to honor our beloved Father and Brother with a private memorial ceremony on the Trail of Tears.
