Obituary For Mr. Harold Dudley Sutherland

Mr. Harold Dudley Sutherland was the fourth child born to Gladys and David Sutherland on january 8, 1942 in Chapelton, Jamaica, West Indies. As a young man, Harold migrated to the Cayman Islands where he worked for several years. He then moved to Belize and worked there for a short time. Harold then migrated to the United States where he made Maryland his home for several years. It was there, twenty one years ago where he met his fiance, Kim Burley. Harold eventually relocated to Georgia establishing his own business, Satellite Home Improvement. Harold enjoyed working with his hands spending time with his family and friends, cooking and gardening. He was passionate about two things, hunting and football; he was a diehard Washington Redskins fan. He was very vibrant, pleasant and always had a joke to keep the people around him comfortable and at home. He was affectionately known as the "Comedian" in the family. His favorite phrase: " aahh, prosecution the mighty one must bear." He was an adventurer at heart and was always ready to take on life's challenges. When God called him home on Monday, October 3, 2011, he was doing something that he was passionate about, hunting. He died in the woodlands with his bow next to him. He leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Gladys Sutherland; fiance Kim Burley; 5 children, Francella Sutherland, Karene Sutherland, Rohann Sutherland, Michele O'Bryan Sutherland and Katlyn Sutherland; 3 sisters, Murial Williamson, Linda Wright and Beverlyn Beckford; 2 brothers, Keith Sutherland and Earl Sutherland; 10 grandchildren; a host of nieces nephews other relatives and friends. We are so saddened to hear of Harold’s passing. He was a fine man and a good friend to our parents (Bob and Victoria). Harold could always be counted on to share his honest opinion, his friendly smile, and his good humor. He was a fine man and a skilled carpenter. Please accept our condolences during this time of loss. Curtis & Natalie Kohlhaas
