Obituary For Kelvin Lavell Grayson

Mr. Kelvin Lavell Grayson, affectionately known as 'K. Lavell', was born March 22, 1962, to Mr. and Mrs. Earnest and Velma Grayson in Milwaukee, WI.

He graduated from Bay View High School in his native city. After which, he traveled to Atlanta, GA where he attended Morris Brown College and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Public School Music. He pledged Kappa Alpha Psi, a fraternity that he loved dearly.

Mr. Grayson was well-known for his artistry as a painter as well as being a Master Cosmetologist, employed at Nelda's Hair Salon at the CNN Center.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earnest Grayson and brother Dary King.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Mrs. Velma Grayson; sister, Markesha Grayson of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Johnny Ray of Hamburg, AR, Ryan King of Inglewood, CA, Darryl Black, Ernnie Grayson, Vernnie Grayson, all of Milwaukee, WI; grandmother, Mrs. Mary Jones of Milwaukee, WI; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

It's 2020. I lost touch with K many many years ago and often tried to find him. Unfortunately, when Googling for him this time, I sadly find his obituary! I'm sorry to see this. He was a great and wonderful person. May God rest his soul as he continues to Rest In Peace! Clyde Thompson

I just relocated back to Atlanta and was attempting to reach out to my friend and master stylist whom I used to fly in from Chicago every month to see only to discover this devastating news.
