The Obituary

Wanda Latricia Bryant, the daughter of the late Cleveland E. and Mary F. Bryant, was born on March 10, 1973 in Brooks County. She departed this life for eternal rest on June 7, 2021.

Wanda received her education from the Valdosta City School system and later attended Riley Technical Institute. She was a member of and attended Sweetfield Missionary Baptist Church from childhood to young adulthood. She was also well-known for her family’s gospel singing group, The Bryant Singers. Wanda was well-loved as she had a contagious personality and was a joy to all, who came in contact with her. She truly knew how to capture the hearts of those around her. Wanda was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Veonca N. Bryant; always caring parents, Cleveland E. and Mary F. Bryant; brother, Johnny L. Johnson; maternal grandmother, Annie L. Gray; paternal grandparents, James Bryant Sr. and Rosa Lee Bryant; paternal uncle, James Bryant Jr; and special friend, Georgette Williams.

Left to cherish her sweet memories is her partner, LaKeisha Spencer; her four sons, Damian R. Bryant Sr. of San Angelo, TX, Kentae E. Bryant (Xenia) of Wilmington, North Carolina; Walter L. Brown Jr. of San Antonio, TX, and Deshaun Seymour of Valdosta, GA. Extended family (sons) Xavier Edwards, Elijah Edwards, Nathan Edwards, and King Mack of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and (daughter) Artiyah Newton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Grandchildren, Ronaysia Bryant, Damian Bryant Jr., and Breanna Bryant of Valdosta, GA, Kayden Bryant and Ava Bryant of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Lajalya Brown of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, George A. Thomas (Julia) and Woodrow Johnson of Valdosta, GA; three sisters, Sherry L. Davis (Willie), Sarah D. Webb (Antonio), and Chiquita R. Bryant of Valdosta, GA; six aunts, Mary Neal of Wilmington, Delaware, Forrestine Collins and Jesse Pickney of West Palm Beach, FL, Betty Martin and Mable Coleman of Quitman, GA, and Geraldine Matthews of Sebring, FL; four uncles, Thomas Bryant, Alfred Gray, and Gerald Gray of Quitman, GA, and Charles Gray of Riviera Beach, FL; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, caring family, and friends. Special Friends: Tionca Hudson, Amelia Wilcher and Stephanie Hutcherson.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1PM at Sweetfield Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Continue to keep the family in your daily thoughts and prayers.
