She received the precious gift of life on April 16, 1958 to Kareta and the late Preston Johnson at Tyndall Air Force Base. Janice grew up as the oldest of three daughters in the Glenwood neighborhood. She attended A. Crawford Mosley High School where she graduated in 1976. She went on to attend Gulf Coast Community College for a short time.
Janice being the free spirit that she was in here younger days decided that there was more of the world she needed to see. She and her high school sweetheart loaded up his Road Runner and set out to his military assignment at Fort Ard Army Base in Selinas, California. Upon arrival they were married. After a few years they returned to Panama City. This union was blessed with one son, Arthur Paul Mack, Jr. on September 24, 1980.
Janice worked for Panama Machinery for several years and after their closing, went to work for the City of Panama City for 30 plus years.
Janice leaves treasured memories with her beloved son, Arthur Paul Mack, Jr.; her dear mother, Kareta E. Bowers; sisters, Patricia Johnson and Angela McRoberts; nephews, Corey Johnson and Henry McRoberts, III; nieces, Carmen Johnson and Andrea McRoberts; special aunt, Adell J. Bowers; and a host of other family and friends.
Memorialization was by cremation with all arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Battle Mortuary of Panama City.
