Obituary For Cynthia Brown

Ms. Cynthia Mechelle Brown was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on September 19, 1968 to the late Roger Brown and the late Sallie Mae Crawford Brown. She transitioned from her earthly home on Thursday; June 14, 2021 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Cynthia was educated in the Gaston County School System and was a 1986 graduate of North Gaston High School in Dallas, North Carolina. She was employed at Burger King, McDonald, Shoney's, a healthcare worker and more.... Cynthia attended Greater New Mills Chapel Church where she served on the Usher board, Choir, Kitchen and Assistant Secretary for many years. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Roger and Sallie Brown; one sister: Sondra Thompson; and two brothers: Terrance Kennedy and Roger Kennedy.

Cherished memories are left for her six children: April Brown, Miranda Fields (Justin), Rosalyn Brown, Donovan Brown, Prencella Brown, Tiahiem Brown; six grandchildren; Taryvon Brown, J’Halen Brown, Tristian Brown, Jackson Brown, Harmony Fields and Jamir Brown; her siblings: Prentis Brown, Parris Brown, John Paul Kennedy and Janice Kennedy; one sister-in-law: Teresa Brown Kennedy; one brother-in-law: David Thompson; and Cathy Thompson (Prentis Brown); one dear friend: Tony Kimberly; one close friend: Tammy Bratton and a host of other relatives and friends.

Our grief is tempered in knowing that Cynthia is free from her earthly pain and suffering. We are comforted in our faith that a loving and merciful God has received Cynthia into his loving arms.

Viewing at the funeral home on Monday; June 21, 2021 from 4 until 8

Funeral: Tuesday; June 22, 2021; 3:00 p.m.; Greater New Mills Chapel Church, Inc.

Visitation: thirty minutes before the service at the church

Interment: Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia
