Obituary For Dorothy Ernestine Tucker

Dorothy Ernestine Burrus Tucker (aka Ernestine) peacefully passed away the morning of June 21, 2021 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home.

Born May 27, 1924 in Murfreesboro,TN, she lived in New York City for over 30 years before returning to her birthplace. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dorothy Seward and John Henry Burrus, her husband Francis G. Tucker, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She leaves many cousins including, Rev. Virginia Ann Yeargins, Denise Rucker, Gaytrice Rucker, Roxane Rucker, and Fred Beneby, along with many dear friends to mourn her passing.

There will be a graveside service Friday June 25, 2021, 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, 519 Greenland Dr., Murfreesboro, TN 37130, Rev. Virginia Yeargins officiant.
