Obituary For Mr. Godfrey Lee Sr.

Tallahassee - Godfrey Lee Sr. passed away Monday, June 21, 2021.

Godfrey Sr. was always devoted to providing and caring for his family. He was the owner of Lee's Fish Market and was an Owner-Operator over the road with Bekins Van Lines for 30 plus years. Godfrey Sr. confessed Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of Anderson Chapel A.M.E. Church and was known by the Pastor as an Honorary Trustee.

Godfrey Sr. leaves to treasure his precious memories two devoted and grateful children, Godfrey (Cathy) Lee Jr. and Valerie (Duane) Pace; siblings, Gloria (Arch) Maddox, Douglas Lee, Loretta (Roosevelt) Jackson, Deprimethon (Donna) Lee, Angela (Harry Sr.) Stewart and Andre (Peggy) Lee; three beautiful and sweet granddaughters; one great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, golf players and friends.

Graveside service will be 12 (Noon) Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Viewing will be from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. Friday, June 25, 2021 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

I met him at Jake Gaither Golf Clubhouse and I asked him to join our Mature Adults Exercise Class and he did. He will be missed in our community and neighborhood.
