Memorial service for Shawn Montgomery, 48, of Opelika, AL, will be at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Fellowship of Faith Christian Center, 1806 Marvyn Parkway, Opelika, AL 36801, Apostle Alzata Florence will officiate.

Funeral service for Mr. Montgomery will be Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of James H. Cole Home for Funerals, 2624 West Grand Blvd., Detroit, Michigan 48208, with interment in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, 9470 Ford Road, Canton, Michigan 48198.

Mr. Montgomery, who passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born September 13, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan.

He leaves to cherish his memory: devoted wife of eighteen years, Cindy Montgomery; eight children, Johnny Moss (Kiara Fenderson), Justin Moss (Marva Smith), Shawn S. Montgomery (Ericka Brooks), Deaira Clifton, Shaunell Montgomery, JeVonta Hilton (Liqunita Thomas), JaQueese Hudson and Jashawndela Montgomery; two brothers, Charles Montgomery (Cathy West) and Daryel Montgomery (Tonya Colzin); four sisters-in-law, Eileen Richardson, Charlene Matthews, Ruby Richardson, and Yolanda Richardson; three brothers-in-law, Anthony Ross, Anthony Matthews and Sandy Richardson ; fifteen grandchildren; special cousin, Sharon Edison Moore; special uncle, Sam Moore; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
