Obituary For Lamar Shipp

Lamar Delaneo Shipp Sr. Was born to the late Thelma Shipp and the late Don Grier on March 30, 1977 in Mecklenburg County, NC. He departed this life on June 18, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Hospital.

Lamar was a graduate of Independence High School. After graduation, he began to work at carwashes, warehouses and completing home renovations. He had a passion for landscaping which he loved to perform with his cousin for years. Lamar also helped to take care of his mother before she departed in August, 2015 due to breast cancer.

Lamar is survived by one son: Lamar D. Shipp Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina; two bonus sons: William Anderson and Antonio Anderson; bonus parents: Steven and Sandra Peake of Charlotte, NC; two sisters: Lakisha C. Shipp and Krystal Peake (Jamal) of Charlotte, NC; three brothers: Damien Jetta of Queens, NY, James Robinson and Demorrious Dulin both of Charlotte, NC; his fiancé: Oneccia Hart of Forest City, NC; one granddaughter: Alivia Anderson (Peanut); two aunts: Sherry Curbeam and a special aunt: Aunt Sister; and his dog: TuPac Shipp who he loved so much; his best friend/cousin: Mark Peake and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial service: Thursday; July 8, 2021; Gregory Funeral Service Chapel; 1:00 p.m.
