~ The Obituary ~ “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4 William Manning, son of the late Cadreit and Grace Manning, was born on October 1, 1955 in Dillon County, South Carolina. William departed this life on June 18, 2021. At McLeod Hospital in Dillon, SC. William was a soft spoken, kind and caring person. He attended the public schools of Dillon County, South Carolina. He graduated from Latta High School in 1974. At an early age William attended Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church in Latta, South Carolina. He was a faithful member and served diligently. After graduating from school he served in the US Army. He was employed at Perdue until his health failed. William leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Janie Manning of the home; one daughter: Tomica Manning of Latta, SC; one son: Richard Leach (Terrell) from Dillon, SC; three granddaughters: Azarriona McRae of Latta, SC, Brreanna Leach and Niesha Watkins of Dillon, SC; two brothers: Johnnie L. Manning (Betty) and Jimmy Johnson (Carolyn) of Dillon, SC; sister: Mary Lee (Jasper) Austin of Winston-Salem, NC; two aunts: Pearl Manning of Elizabeth, NJ and Arleen Joyner of Columbia, SC; one uncle: Joe Manning of Camden, NJ; special nephews: Frederick Manning and Deacon Nikita Bethea; ten nephews and ten nieces and a host of cousins, great nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
