Obituary For Mrs. Gertrude M. Hackett

Lincolnton, Georgia-Mrs. Gertrude Hackett, daughter of the late Mary Lou Hawes Leverett and Bubber Leverett, Sr. was born on August 28, 1949 in Lincolnton, Georgia. She quietly departed this life on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her brother Bubber Leverett, Jr.; sisters Marietta Stroman and Lizzie Washington. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Roxanne Leverett of Lincolnton, GA; Darrell (Sherry) Morgan of Douglasville, GA; Valerie (Clement Gaines) Morgan of Augusta, GA; Tracy (Maurice) Beard of Evans, GA; a special friend David Dunn; her seven grandchildren: Kenyelle (Kris) Norman, Tyesha Miller, Arielle Morgan, Raquan Beard, Maiya Beard, Aaron Morgan, and Morgan Beard; two great-grandchildren Keegan & Kessler Norman; brothers: Standard (Marie) Leverett, Curtis (Mary) Leverett, David (Isle) Leverett; sister: Brenda Wade; a special nephew Mendale Washington, and a host of family and friends. Her heart has touched so many and her love will forever live on.

A memorial will be held July 17, 2021 at 6:30 pm at Mrs Hackett’s Residence.
