Obituary For Shirley Gaymon Benbow

Shirley Gaymon Benbow was born December 31, 1940 to Lily Gaymon in New York, New York. It was on June 16, 2021 that the Lord stopped by her bedside at St. Lucie Medical Center and bid her to come home to rest.

She was a devoted member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She served as a minister in that ministry. She became a born again believer on November 15, 1979. She also worked and retired as a short order cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Benbow; mother, Lily Gaymon; children, Abraham Benbow, Jr. and Brinder Nembhard; grandchild, Tiyonne Bannister.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, General Lee(Beula)Benbow, Frank(Hope)Benbow, Shirley Ann McMillon, Joyce Benbow; grandchildren, Chrissy Gayle, Brindell McMillon Serrano, Dorothea(Ramon)Perez, Arion Benbow, Tabitha Mouzon, Trey McMillon, Christopher(Symone)Weather, Gene(Dominique)Rouizer, Kendrick Benbow; great grandchildren, Andres Serrano, Ava Sophia Cedeno, Alize Dantzler, Tiyo Benbow, Jermaine Hannas, Chloe Perez, Christyonna Weathers, Imani Weathers, Cyain Weathers, Milton K. Benbow, and Tatyana Alfred; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public viewing for Shirley Gaymon Benbow will take place on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral Services will convene on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Pentecostal Holiness Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
