Obituary For Cornelius Stone

Mr. Cornelius Stone passed August 19, 2013.

The service celebrating the life of Cornelius Stone will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 in the Grissom-Clark Chapel with military honors. The Rev. Michael A. Shinn will officiate. After serving in WWII, the College Park native was one of the first African-American computer technicians at AT&T where he worked for 45 years. Those who cherish his memory include this sister, Georgia Mae Smith; brother, Hosea Stone; nieces, Marcia Stone Hargis and Desiree Stone; nephew, Hosea Demetrius Stone; great-niece, Joi Hargis; devoted and loving companion, Mamie Delores Bowens and her children, Anthony Bowens and MiKisha Burnes (William); and, other relatives and friends.
