Nathaniel Naquan Williams, Jr. was born on February 28, 1977, to the late Constance (Connie) Mitchell and Nathaniel (Nat) Williams Sr. in Long Island, New York. He moved to Eastover, South Carolina as a young child with his grandmother Mattie Mitchell.

Nathaniel also was lovingly known by many nicknames such as Nat, Nate, and little Nat, preferred to be called Naquan. He received his formal education from several public schools in South Carolina and New York. Naquan touched many lives in his short, yet memorable life. His infectious smile and kind, caring nature was always welcomed by many. He had a love for life, family and friends and amassed many friends that became extended family. He was a member of the social organization “House of Ebony” for 15 years, where he was a positive influence on many. Naquan entered eternal life and reunited with his parents on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 4:15 pm surrounded by family. May God be with you bro. You were loved.

- William Tibbs

My condolences go out to the entire family. May you take comfort in knowing that Naquan is only asleep in death and that soon Jesus will awaken him. (John 11:11-14) And not only that, Isaiah 25:8 says “He (Almighty God) will swallow up death forever”! (Psalm 83:18) In God’s new Kingdom for which we pray, we will never have to mourn the loss of our loved ones again. (Matt. 6:10; Rev. 21:4) I hope this brings you peace.
